Keli Mutu is the highest of the three at 1,693 meters (5,577 feet). Inerie is 1,239 meters (4,062 feet), and Mbeliling is 924 meters (3,041 feet).

The other two crater lakes near Kelimutu are called Tiwu Ata Polo (Lake of Evil Spirits) and Tiwu Ko’o Fai (Lake of Enchante Stone). Both these lakes are brown in color and contain many species of fish and crocodiles. A variety of birds can also seen on the shoreline, including hornbills, parrots, kingfishers, eagles, hawks, kites, egrets and vultures.

Can You Swim In Kelimutu Crater Lakes?
The short answer is no, you cannot swim in the crater lakes of Kelimutu National Park. The lakes are incredibly acid and would burn your skin. Even if you were brave enough to try. The thick layer of sulfur that coats the surface would make it impossible to see anything beneath the water.
