‘Star Wars’ & ‘Harry Potter’ actor Paul Grant dies at 56

He was 56 years old. Grant appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Sophie Jayne Grant told Sky News: “I’m heartbroken… No girl deserves their dad taken away… He was so known loved. He’s gone too soon.”

The actor was reportedly found unresponsive at a London train station on Thursday, March 16 and had been declared brain dead. Grant played an Ewok in the George Lucas franchise and a goblin in the Harry Potter franchise. On Sunday, March 19, Grant taken off life support.

My dad was a legend in many ways. He always brought joy and laughter to everyone’s face. He would go the extra mile for anyone and was a huge Arsenal fan. Besides being an actor, he was also a father and grandfather. In addition to his daughters and son, he loved his girlfriend Maria and her kids, who were like his stepchildren. My dad, I love you so much, sleep tight.”

According to Grant’s girlfriend Maria Dwyer, “Paul Grant was the love of my life. He made my life complete. Life will never be the same without him.”

As well as Star Wars and Harry Potter, Grant also appeared in The Dead (1987) and Labyrinth (1986). He also performed stunts in Willow (1988), Labyrinth and Legend (1985).
